OUR RESULTS ARE
SIGNIFICANT
In eight years of commercial operation, Jirau Energia has generated more than 102 billion kWh of energy, a milestone relevant to energy security in the country and for the sustainable development in the Amazon region. Jirau Energia has already contributed to the reduction of about six million tons of carbon per year and has been certified by the United Nations (UN) as a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), being the largest CDM renewable energy project registered in the world.
